Nerve Pain

The spinal cord acts as the body’s central nervous system and sends signals from the brain to the nerves throughout the body. There are 31 pairs of spinal nerves that exit the spinal cord through openings between the vertebrae. The point where the nerve exits the spinal cord is called the nerve root, and where it branches out into many smaller nerves that control different parts of the body it becomes known as peripheral nerves. It is thought that injury to any of the above types of nerve tissue can be a possible cause neuropathy (nerve) pain.

Dr. Provenzano works with you one-on-one to identify your symptoms, and develop an accurate diagnosis of the underlying cause of your nerve pain in order to successfully treat your specific condition.
