Pain Diagnostics and Interventional Care Staff

Kristina Shock, PA-C

Kristina Shock is the Physician Assistant for Pain Diagnostics and Interventional Care.  She received her undergraduate degree from Saint Vincent College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She earned her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Sciences from Seton Hill University.  She has been working in pain medicine for 4 years and recently joined the PDIC team.  She is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine and Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. Kristy enjoys long walks on the beach, fine wine, and good music.

Gaye E. Jarzabek, RN, BSN

Gaye E. Jarzabek, RN, BSN, is the Practice Manager for Pain Diagnostics and Interventional Care. She received her BSN from Duquesne University and also has completed credits towards her MSN at Duquesne. Gaye has been working with Dr. Provenzano for eight years in this role. Her prior work experience includes manager and director roles in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine at various Pittsburgh area hospitals. Gaye enjoys working with spinal cord stimulator patients and has co-authored two articles with Dr. Provenzano on the subject. In addition to spinal cord stimulation, Gaye has helped to develop other treatment options for Pain Diagnostic and Interventional Care patients, to include Botox injections for various pain states as well as kyphoplasty for the treatment of acute compression fractures. Gaye possesses both ACLS and PALS certifications. She is a member of the American Society for Pain Management Nursing (ASPMN).

Jessica Russell, RN

Jessica Russell is a Registered Nurse at Pain Diagnostics and Interventional Care. She graduated from UPMC Shadyside Hospital in 2001. Jessie practiced as a medical-surgical nurse for several years before working in pain management. She has more than 10 years of experience in pain management and has worked with Dr. Provenzano since 2006. Her hobbies include water skiing, hunting and fishing.

Kacy Hesser, RN

Kacy Hesser is a Registered Nurse at Pain Diagnostics and Interventional Care.  She graduated from Community College of Beaver County in 2002. Kacy has several years experience in Critical Care and Cardiac Cath Lab.  Kacy is excited to have joined the team at Pain Diagnostics and Interventional Care and looks forward to providing quality and compassionate care to patients.  Kacy possesses ACLS certification.   Kacy enjoys time with family, her dog and gardening.

Kelly Lynch

Kelly has been working with Dr. Provenzano for 6 years as the administrative assistant.  She brought to the practice her knowledge and experience from working 10 years with health care insurances and billing as well as over 20 years in customer service.

Katie Zimmerman, RN, BSN, CCRC

Katie Zimmerman is a Registered Nurse and Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and is a consultant with Pain Diagnostics & Interventional Care for their Clinical Research trial program.  She received her BSN from the University of Rochester in New York where she was Navy ROTC and was commissioned and stationed at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, CA and Okinawa, JAPAN.  Katie has a diverse background as she has worked in many clinical areas of nursing for over 25 years and in Clinical Research for over 19.  Katie is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator with the Association for Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), where she participates with the local Pittsburgh chapter for continuing education events.   Katie enjoys time with her family and animals and loves to travel, watch and play sports as well as engaging in outdoor adventures.
